Desulfurized slag iron is the residue of Fe2O3 and part of Fe2S generated by Fe2S and oxygen in the process of ironmaking. The residual iron sulfide is further treated to generate desulfurized iron. It is also called desulfurized slag iron, which has good oxidation resistance.

Method for preparing chemical iron powder from desulfurized slag iron

 

(1)The desulfurized slag iron is vacuum dried at 90 ~ 120 ℃ for 2 ~ 4 hours, and then pretreated by pulverizer. Peel off the rust layer and non-metallic impurities on the surface, and the pretreatment time is 15 ~ 30min.

(2)The pretreated slag iron passes through 2.36mm and 0.425mm (40 mesh) square hole sieves, and the grinding time of the upper part of the 2.36mm sieve is 30 ~ 60 minutes. The slag iron pulverizer between 0.425-2.36mm shall be used for 15 ~ 30 minutes to grind into iron powder;

(3)The iron powder less than 0.425mm is mixed with the iron powder finely milled in step 2) and divided into three levels: 40-80 mesh, 80-120 mesh and 120-200 mesh. 40-80 mesh iron powder shall be air selected with wind speed of 4.1 ~ 5.4m/s. The iron powder after air separation is subjected to magnetic separation, and the magnetic field strength is 100 ~ 150mt. The iron powder product is obtained after magnetic separation. Conduct air separation on 80-120 mesh iron powder with the wind speed of 2.8 ~ 4.0m/s. The iron powder product is obtained after air separation. The 120-200 mesh iron powder is subjected to air separation with the wind speed of 2.5 ~ 2.8m/s. The iron powder product is obtained after air separation.

Recovery and reuse of desulfurized slag iron from hot metal pretreatment

The separation of hot metal pretreatment desulfurization slag and iron recovery process and the improvement of desulfurization process make it more efficient;

The reduction of processing time and the expansion of the consumption of cold iron sources such as scrap lead to the improvement of productivity;

Due to the thorough pre desulfurization, high reaction efficiency and slag recycling, the amount of slag is reduced.
