The secondary utilization of fly ash has become a key topic concerned by the government in recent years. Among them, the secondary utilization of fly ash in construction, building materials and other fields has attracted much attention from all walks of life.

Fly ash is mainly composed of SiO2, Al2O3, FeO, Fe2O3, Cao, TiO2, etc. It mainly comes from the fine ash in the flue gas after coal combustion and the solid waste discharged from coal-fired power plants.

The fly ash can be reused in building materials industry mainly because of the performance of fly ash with hydrogel, which can react with alkaline earth hydroxide at room temperature, especially under the condition of hydrothermal treatment (steam curing), and become a material for increasing strength and durability.
