There are many kinds of crushers such as jaw crusher, cone crusher, impact crusher and so on.

Jaw crusher is periodically driven by the transmission system, and crushes the stones by two interlaced toothed liners on the crushing working surface. The work is discontinuous. As a result, the crushing efficiency is low and the energy consumption is large. Besides, the wear of machine parts is serious which results in high flake rate of stone and large particle size range. But its structure is simple and maintenance is convenient. It is easy for jaw crusher to crush. So it is often used as a primary crusher.

The cone crusher crushes stones by the fixed outer cone and the eccentric inner cone. It is a kind of continuous crushing and its production efficiency is higher than that of the jaw crusher. But the cone crusher is also a kind of mechanical crushing. Its parts are easy to wear which results in unstable product particle size. So it is often used as secondary crusher.

The impact crusher is continuous non mechanical crushing. It combines the crushing principles of impact, counterattack, centrifugal impact, shearing and grinding together to make full and effective use of energy and crushing cavity, with advantages of high crushing efficiency, fine finished products, less vulnerable parts, convenient maintenance and low energy consumption. The product has good granularity and angular shape, with less needle flake and continuous granularity and less powder. It is often used as the final crushing in building materials, chemical industry, mining and metallurgical industry.
