Tailings are the remaining waste after mineral processing or mineral extraction, which will cause certain harm to the environment, but it is not useless. It is understood that why tailings can be used as building materials, is this true or false?

Can tailings be used as a building material?

Sure! The acquaintance of mine tailings and construction waste is not useless. We process it into powder materials through grinding equipment, and reuse them in engineering projects such as construction and road construction, which is not only environmentally friendly but also beneficial.

Tailings milling process

The specific steps of the tailings grinding mill process. The GKLM tailings vertical roller mill adopts the dry milling process. The tailings are generally finer and do not need to be crushed.

Stage 1: Limestone Feed

The tailings are conveyed by the elevator to the storage hopper, and the storage hopper discharges the material and then feeds the tailings GKLM vertical mill evenly by the feeder.

The second stage: pulverizer grinding

After the tailings enter the mill, the qualified products are screened by the screening system to screen out the fine powder of the tailings particle size, and then enter the collector through the pipeline. After the collection, the fine powder of the tailings is discharged through the discharge valve to be the finished product, and the unqualified powder falls into the main machine of the GKLM vertical mill for re-grinding.

Stage 3: Finished Product Collection

The tailings powder enters the pulse dust collector through the ventilation duct connected by the mill, and the tailings powder enters the powder collector for packaging. The air after pulse dust collection and purification flows into the blower through the residual air duct above the dust collector, and the air path is circulating. Except for the positive pressure from the blower to the grinding chamber, the airflow in the other pipelines flows under negative pressure, and the indoor sanitary conditions are better.
